Our Story

Locally Owned.
Family Run.

Pizza Boys started back in the **Fall of 1990** with a simple idea: bring the kind of pizza we'd want to serve our own family to the Kenai Peninsula. Founded by **Rob & Jenny Smithwick** just nine months after they were married, it quickly grew from a small neighborhood shop into a Soldotna institution.

For two decades, Rob and Jenny worked side-by-side, hand-tossing dough, simmering house-made marinara, and greeting guests by name. In 2010, the Smithwick family faced their greatest challenge when Rob tragically passed away in a fishing accident on the Kenai River.

Though Rob is deeply missed, his legacy lives on. Today, Jenny and their **five children** continue to operate Pizza Boys with the exact same passion, recipes, and dedication. Our dining room features our signature family photo walls documenting over 35 years of local Smithwick history — a reminder of where we started and the community that supported us.

"But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope."

— 1 Thessalonians 4:13
